As a major “Skill Development Company operating in more than 15 states with 100+ institu tions, the key challenge for Aells was to access its classrooms and student status in real time, with or without internet connectivity’I Many of the institutions are based out of Tier-3 cities or Rural areas, many a time outside continuous network connectivity. Visualizing classroom training, monitoring attendance and gathering batch activity on a pan India basis served as

the foundation of the business objective for the Learning Management System for Aelis. As a NSDC partner Company, operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entre preneurship, Govt. of India; the challenge was to develop, Integrate and deploy a LMS that is scalable, easy to use and bypasses the need of continuous internet connectivity.

Challenges & the Solution:

The first challenge was to configure technology of the basic mobile application to capture, store and relay information from the classroom to the administration web panel, based on network availability. Thus the entire software would work irrespective of connectivity, only to relay the same as and when data services were available. Once this was achieved, the next challenge we had to overcome was to ensure the tool is scalable, robust and parallel, easy to use. As it has been in our experience, many fantastic tools fail owing to the difficulty in rollout and adoption into existing processes (unnecessary) complexity. We bypassed the same with our rapid testing stages and continuous feedback from on-site deployment, with great focus on UX and simple functionalities; making the tool easy to use and compatible with a multi tude of devices.
